From Jan, 1, 2009, Vietnam Railway and China railway start to run new border crossing trains between Hanoi and Nanning. This MR1/2 train runs every day.
+From Nanning to other Chinese destinations, express MR1/MR2 trains run everyday at both ends from Vietnam and China.
+Traditional International train to Beijing becomes M1 train China limited express from Nanning. (MR2 train runs daily from Nanning.)
+Enjoy more convenient rail trip between Vietnam and China, It is also a good chance to taste something different of train in Asia and Europe or developed countries!
Note that at Nanning you may be asked to get off and wait on the platform for an hour or two while the train is shunted.
